Kerri J. Anderson is a shareholder of Levin Sitcoff. She specializes in complex commercial insurance cases and disability insurance litigation. With a focus on cases involving duty to defend and liability coverages, Kerri’s expertise lies in delivering solutions that are humane and strategic. She is particularly adept in handling large matters, often involving intricate legal complexities.
A native of Nebraska, Kerri started her undergraduate studies with the goal of becoming a professor of Native American History. But, inspired by an inherent passion for justice and advocacy, she decided to go to law school. After completing her studies in her home state, she moved to Denver in 1998, intending only a brief stay. However, her first job offer from Bradley A. Levin unveiled an unexpected path. She very much enjoyed her legal practice and quickly recognized how much she could learn from her work with Brad. Kerri’s career includes a significant stint at Holland and Hart, where she represented insurance companies in coverage disputes and bad faith lawsuits, including ERISA cases. She also handled employment, real estate, and commercial litigation. She would eventually return to Levin Sitcoff in 2009.
At the heart of Kerri’s career is a genuine dedication to helping other people and an ongoing love of learning. Her background in education and her time working with various law firms have given her a broad understanding of the legal landscape. She has authored numerous articles on various legal topics to demonstrate and share her knowledge in her practice. Her commitment extends beyond her primary practice areas; she has also adeptly handled employment, real estate, and commercial litigation matters. A demonstration of her good reputation is the recognition she receives from clients and peers alike, often resulting in commendations for her professionalism, fairness, and reasonableness.
Beyond the courtroom, Kerri is a proud mother and an avid Nebraska Huskers fan. She is active in her community – from participating in church activities to supporting a local Robotics program. Kerri’s love for the outdoors is evident in her enthusiasm for hiking, snowshoeing, and water sports.
